What events do you support?

Do you hold your own insurance?

We sure do! We have insurance coverage and work under a NYS liquor license.

How much do your services cost?

I’m on a budget, what services can I afford?

We are more than happy to offer budget friendly services! Please let us know what you’re looking for and we can see how we can help!

Is tax and gratuity included in your pricing?

A 20% administrative fee and NYS sales tax will be added to the final invoice.

Do you travel?  How far and how much?

Yes! We are a mobile service and will travel anywhere we are needed. A $100 fee per hour is applied after the first 30 minutes of travel. If additional staff or vehicles are needed, the travel fee will be adjusted to accommodate these add-ons.

What is “Event Support” and why would I need it for my event?

We provide event support staff who will come in and assist with setting up your event, assisting with cocktail hour, dinner and dessert service, cleaning up throughout the event, and breaking down at the end. Our team is there to support you, your venue and your vendors.

How long do I have BTS services for on the day of my event?

For a larger event, our team is available for up to 8 hours of service (including setup and breakdown. For a smaller event, our team is available for up to 6 hours of service (including setup and breakdown). If extra time is needed, we are happy to accommodate!

How many staff members are provided when booking event support? How is this determined?

All events will be sent with a minimum of (2) staff members. Depending on the type of service you are looking for and the event size, will help determine if more staff are needed. Extra service staff are always available upon request!

My caterer already provides staff to help with dinner and cleaning tables.  Would I still need your services?

Absolutely! Our services are flexible and customizable, so we are happy to step in wherever we are needed. Most catering staff leave shortly after dinner, which begs the question: who’s staying to clean everything up? That's where we come in!

What's the difference between an “Event Planner” vs a “Day of Coordinator”?  Do I need it?

We currently offer a Day of Coordinator service which is not to be confused with an Event Planner.  An event planner is someone who typically creates and develops events from scratch.  They are there to help design, generate budgets and handle full planning of the event from day one.  Our Day of Coordinator is there to be the main point of contact for the day of your event and to ensure everything is handled. This service starts approximately 3 months prior to your event to develop a service with the guidance of your expectations, and will ensure everything comes together and runs smoothly.  Some of the services include: 
             -Review of timelines, vendor responsibilities, menu & floor plan
              -Ensuring all vendors are onsite and working together to provide expected services
              -Ceremony support: setup & execution

Do you have your own liquor license?

Yes! We have a NYS liquor license and liquor liability insurance.

I'm still shopping around and noticed the BTS bar comes with a liquor license, but other vendors do not.  Is there a difference, and why does it matter?

Yes, there is a big difference!  We have taken all the necessary steps to be granted the ability to provide a specific liquor license that allows us to serve all alcoholic beverages within NYS.  Most other vendors are still able to apply for a license, but NYS limits them to serve: beer, wine & seltzers only.  There is no difference in license pricing, just our ability to provide more products!

Can we provide our own alcohol?

If your venue requires our NYS liquor license, you can not provide your own alcohol.

If your venue does not require the NYS liquor license, you can provide your own alcohol. We can provide NYS ATAP certified bartenders to support your event. We would request you hold all liability for the event.

Can we provide our own alcohol and use your liquor license?

No- the NYS liquor license requires us to provide all of the alcohol and service.

However you can hire us as a "Dry Hire" where you would provide your own alcohol and we could bartend. From a liability perspective, because we have a NYS liquor license that would not be used for this service, our only requirement is that you must apply and provide your own liquor license in order for us to serve.  Please keep in mind, this means you will only be able to have beer, wine & seltzers served - no liquor.  If that’s a deal breaker for you, that’s where we can provide you with our liquor license and bar packages instead to cover all the bases!  

What's the difference between BTS providing a liquor license vs me getting my own liquor license?

Because we have the ability to apply for a Catering Liquor License, we are able to serve all alcoholic beverages including liquor. You of course may apply for your own license, however, you will only be permitted to provide and serve: beer, wine & seltzers. 

Can you provide bar service outside of NYS?

Our liquor license is covered for NYS only. However, if you wanted us to bartend only for your event, we could absolutely do so, as long as you are able to provide your own liquor license for the day.

What exactly is included with the bar service, and how many staff are provided?

All bar packages come with (2) ATAP certified bartenders along with all the alcohol, mixers, soda, ice, and disposable drinkware. We come fully prepared to service guests as if they were ordering at a brick and mortar bar. We even have bar fronts to rent if needed! Extra bar staff is always available upon request as well. 

Can I request custom products or drinks for the bar service?  How does that affect the price?

Absolutely! We pride ourselves on offering service and products that are specific to our clients.  Depending on the price of products, this can either be an exchange in price, or an upcharge. We are happy to accommodate special requests as needed.

Does BTS provide real glassware for their bar service?

Because we are a mobile service, we only provide disposable drinkware. We offer 9(oz),10(oz), and 16(oz) clear durable cups. If you choose to rent glassware from another vendor, we are happy to serve out of those as well!

Does BTS provide water service?

Our bar packages include complimentary water service at the bar. This service is not meant to be the sole provider of water service for the event, and we encourage you to touch base with your caterer about this. If this is the only water source available, an extra service fee would be applicable.
